Motion Mirror Studio for macOS and Motion Mirror Link for iOS
Effective September 4, 2026
Motion data, screen content and the files you create stay between your iPhone and Mac. Motion Mirror does not require an account or collect your name, email address or creative content.
What the apps do
Motion Mirror Link reads your iPhone’s movement and sends it directly to Motion Mirror Studio on your Mac over your local network. The Mac renders a 3D mockup that follows the phone. This connection does not pass through a Motion Mirror server.
Data collection
Motion Mirror does not require an account. We do not collect names, email addresses, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, usage statistics, crash reports, or the content you create. The apps do not include advertising, tracking, or third-party analytics SDKs.
Permissions and why they exist
Motion Mirror asks only for permissions needed to provide its local features.
Your content and files
Images, videos, USDZ or USDC models, HDRIs, recorded takes, Motion Mirror project files, and rendered exports remain on your devices. Motion Mirror Studio may remember the location of a file you selected so it can reopen that file later. It does not upload or copy those files to a Motion Mirror server. Exports are written only to the location you choose.
Purchases and Apple services
Motion Mirror Pro is a one-time purchase handled by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment details. Apple tells the app whether the Apple Account has purchased Pro. To maintain the public Founding 500 availability counter, Apple sends the Motion Mirror website a signed purchase notification. We verify and store only the transaction identifier, product identifier, purchase time and the technical notification identifier needed to count each eligible purchase once. This information is not used for advertising, profiling or tracking. Motion Mirror Link contains no purchases.
If you choose to share diagnostics and usage information with app developers through your Apple device settings, Apple may provide the developer with aggregated App Store Connect Analytics. Apple processes that information under its own privacy policy.
Website
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Its hosting provider may process limited technical information needed to deliver the site securely, such as network requests and security logs. The website publishes only the aggregate number of Founding 500 purchases; it does not expose individual transaction information.
Children
Motion Mirror is not directed at children and does not collect personal data from anyone, regardless of age.
Retention and deletion
The limited App Store transaction records used for the Founding 500 counter are retained as needed to preserve the accuracy of the count and prevent duplicate counting. They do not include payment details, names or email addresses. You control your local projects and exports and can remove them from your devices at any time.
Changes
If Motion Mirror’s data practices change, this policy and the App Store privacy information will be updated before those changes take effect.
